Jinho Ko

I am a Graduate student at POSTECH. My research & development interests primarily lie in all kinds of big data systems including analytic databases and distributed systems. I believe the beauty of data systems comes from knowing the data itself well and finding possibilities for improvement, while integrating with many parts of computer science, from algorithms to modern hardware accelerators.

I put a high value on building these systems to practically benefit humanity. For this, I am currently focusing on becoming a well-trained systems engineer and programmer. I am thrilled to experience how brilliant research ideas can lead to fascinating designs and codes, and finally, be released to the world. As a system engineer, I put top priority on working as a team and would be more than happy to work as a collaborating teammate. I am also open to discussing a wide range of topics and areas.
